Nicky, a mother of two, has enjoyed working as a paediatric nurse for the past 15 years, learning and progressing over time. She originally trained at the Great Ormond Street children’s hospital and later joined the team permanently to work alongside them for a number of years.
Training and background
Nicky has experienced many exciting and enjoyable challenges to date, working across many specialties, in a diverse range of environments from neurosurgery to palliative care and now at Toothbeary as a sedation nurse.
Her experiences go as far as working with children with complex needs and challenging behaviours. This experience has been very helpful for Nicky when supporting children and their families during treatment. It has also given her great confidence in knowing how to approach or deal with certain situations.
