Witnessing numerous patients’ fear of dentistry and the avoidance of treatments, due to negative past experiences, inspired Priscila to pursue a career in paediatric dentistry. Priscila is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Paediatric Dentistry at Eastman Dental Institute/UCL. She is committed to creating a welcoming environment where children feel at ease, ensuring they develop positive oral health habits early on. Her goal is to install a sense of relaxation and enjoyment in children when visiting the dentist, laying the foundation for lifelong dental care.
Experience
Originally, Priscila graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in Brazil in 2000. Since qualifying in Brazil, she was involved in various post-graduation training, studies and researches.
Following her studies, Priscila became a principal dentist and ran her own dental practice. She decided to explore positions in the wider service, having strengthened her experience, flexibility and adaptability to diverse industries and roles.
Priscila has been working in the UK since 2014. She obtained her licence to practice from the Royal College of Surgeons and she registered with the GDC in 2018 – since then, she has been working as an associate dentist in private dental practices in London and she joined the Toothbeary team in 2023.
