We are open and here for you!

Dear patients and parents.

Following the recent news about the lockdown from Thursday, 5th November 2020 we can confirm that as per the government guidelines medical and dental practices remain open.

We wanted to reassure you that Toothbeary will remain open and, as always, we continue to follow strict cross-infection protocols to ensure the safety of our staff and patients.

Please do attend for your appointments that are planned or already booked and, of course, contact us as usual if you need to book an appointment to see us.

Toothbeary's commitment to your safety has been and always will remain our top priority. We have invested in new measures to maximise our infection control processes, following the guidelines relating to COVID-19 set out by the governing bodies.

  • Please do not arrive without an appointment.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This might result in fewer options for your appointment.
  • Please do not arrive early. If unavoidable, you should wait outside the practice.
  • Please attend an appointment with only one parent or legal guardian. Please do not bring additional family members/siblings, unless essential.
  • Additional screening will be necessary prior to the appointment and on arrival. We will measure the temperature of all patients and accompanying adults entering the practice and a health questionnaire will need to be completed.
  • Everyone entering the building will be requested to apply hand sanitizer and wear a facial mask. If you arrive without your own mask we will provide one at reception.
  • No toys or magazines are permitted at the moment as these items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • We prefer that you stay with your child at all times however for some procedures we will ask you to use one of our allocated special waiting areas from where you will be able to monitor the visit.
  • Our staff will be wearing additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Please tell your child we will be wearing a 'fancy dress'. You can use the pictures from our patient journey to prepare your child.
  • Payment should be made by card whenever possible.
  • Please contact us immediately if you show any COVID-19 symptoms or have been tested positive within 10 days following an appointment.

Most importantly if you have booked an appointment and you or anyone at home start to display any COVID-19 symptoms or have been contacted by the test & trace app please let us know as soon as you can; follow the government guidelines around self-isolation and do not attend the appointment.

We look forward to seeing you and continuing your dental care.

Best wishes
Nicole Sturzenbaum
