child hypnosis
every child can switch off!
Hypnosis is an effective instrument in behavior management of children during dental procedures. Hypnosis works by focusing the child's awareness on non threatening aspects of the experience, in a trance-like fashion. By narrating positive thoughts and diverting the child's mind from the treatment it helps him/her to "switch off" to the proceedure, however still being responsive. It is possible for the child to feel pleasently influenced by hypnosis, accepting this as real feelings and exits our practice feeling great!

- Narrate stories.
- Continuous body contact (gives a feeling of safety and security).

- Praise the child, which reinforces positive feelings.
