just for you

Staff skills in the Toothbeary team are learned by continuous professional development, training and supervision. Children who have known nothing other than dental surgeries geared toward adult patients are especially relieved to find dental professionals who take them seriously, treat them with respect and don't forget to have fun along with the entirely serious dental bit.

Ever since starting as a dentist I loved working with children, they have always fascinated me and working with them is great fun. Children should grow up with a healthy smile. They require special allowance with respect to psychology as well as dental treatment. Through a special psychological care I render my duty to these little patients: to educate them with awareness of their oral hygiene for life. Whilst completing my training for children's dentistry in Germany, I realised that all skills needed to treat children in the right way can only be acquired in a child only dental practice and since 2001 I have worked exclusively with children. When I moved to the UK I was amazed by the shortage of private child focused dental practises. As a result of this shortfall, I decided to open together with Dr Cheryl Butz my own children's practice.

Dr med dent Esther Shin
Working with children was my deepest wish since I can think about. During my dental studies I have realised, that I have found my dream job, and being able to combine this with the children was perfect to me. Seeing a child's smile can melt all the barriers and is the biggest reward for all hard work.
But since I have my own little girl, I realised that it is not very easy to be strict and good with the oral hygiene at home. Sometimes it is helpful to have someone guiding you through the necessary things to make sure, that your child keeps the great smile for their whole life.
When I joined the Toothbeary team, I was so amazed by the vision and aim of them. It is not only about fillings and repairing, but to help parents and families to keep their beautiful children healthy and maybe even change the routine and attitude of oral health.
